Kitchener Elementary School offers athletic programs in addition to the regularly scheduled Physical Education classes. Students at Kitchener Elementary have opportunities to join a number of sports teams including volleyball and basketball. Also, we participate in the District Cross-Country running and Track & Field programs.

We also try to offer intramural sporting activities which vary from early morning badminton club to after school floor hockey. Students also have the opportunity to join our Dance Club which performs each Spring at the District Dance Festival.

Kitchener Elementary students in grades 4 through 7 are also offered a number of outdoor educational experiences that include a canoeing program, wilderness outdoor education at Evan's Lake and outdoor education program at Camp Elphinstone.

Starting in late January and early February each year, Kitchener Elementary School offers an after school skiing program in cooperation with Mount Seymour. As you can see, students at Kitchener are provided with a multitude of athletic experiences.
